Hours of Operation
Alamance Child Care Center operates from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Ages of Eligibility
Children six weeks through twelve years (after school) are eligible for our program. A full-time Pre-Kindergarten class operates during the school year. Summer Camp is offered for school-aged children.

Meals and Snacks
Lunch and a morning and afternoon snack will be provided by the Center. If parents wish to bring a substitute meal from home, it must be nutritionally appropriate. The Center does not heat food. Foods brought from home, especially in the younger classes, must not pose a choking threat. Grapes are not allowed in the Infant, Toddler or Two-year-old classrooms. **We are a nut-free facility. **

Holidays, Hours, Extended Vacations, Etc.
The Center will observe the following holidays: New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after, and two or three days at Christmas. No credit will be given for these holidays.

Alamance Child Development Center provides childcare primarily for working parents and is open five days a week, Monday through Friday. The Center will continue to operate in inclement weather (snow days) unless conditions are deemed hazardous to the safety and well-being of the children and staff, or in extreme cases of heat, water or electricity loss. A committee consisting of the Center Director, the President of the Board of Directors, and whenever possible, one other Board member, is responsible for determining if conditions would be detrimental to the health and well-being of the children and the staff, and the Center needs to be closed until the condition is acceptable. No credit will be given in these instances.

If a child will be absent from the Center for an extended period of time, his/her place will be held only with full weekly payments.

Basic Christian Teachings
Alamance Child Development Center is a ministry of Alamance Presbyterian Church. All children of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin are eligible to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to children at the Center.

Basic doctrines of the Presbyterian Church will not be taught, although children attending the Center will be made aware of Christian beliefs.
