School age

Our after-school program caters to children enrolled in kindergarten up to 12 years of age. We welcome children from Alamance Elementary School and Pleasant Garden Elementary School.

If your child attends Alamance Elementary School, you will need to fill out the GCS transportation form, which can be found at https://app.perfectforms.com/PresentationServer/App.aspx/Play/ezSmAgEp?f=ezSmAgEp, to allow your child to ride the bus to Alamance Child Development Center.

For Pleasant Garden Elementary School students, we have a bus that will pick them up.

Children who enroll in our after-school care program are eligible to receive care on teacher workdays and other school closure dates when we are open.

Our summer camp program offers school-aged children the opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled summer with a wide range of activities! 

We visit the swimming pool, go to the movies, explore the High Point Museum, play mini-golf, have a picnic, play at the park, and much more!

Additionally, we encourage limited screen time during summer, except for group activities like movie days.

We are dedicated to creating a learning environment that fosters cognitive growth. To achieve this, our students participate in various activities such as writing prompts, class presentations, and solving riddles.

During circle time, children engage in group activities to enhance their social and emotional development. They also have the opportunity to work on their drawing and writing skills through their personal journals.

Weather permitting, the children spend a minimum of one hour outside each day. They can take a walk, play on the playground, play soccer or basketball, or have fun in the gaga ball pit.
